Open specification for vendor-agnostic Dynamic DNS interoperability. Defines a modern REST API over HTTPS/JSON, replacing 25 years of undocumented, proprietary DDNS protocols. Published as IETF Internet-Draft (draft-ferro-dnsop-apertodns-protocol-02), under review in the IETF DNSOP working group. Provides native IPv4/IPv6 support, TXT record management for ACME DNS-01, bulk updates, authorization scopes, and full DynDNS2 backward compatibility. No vendor lock-in, no paywalls.
